Liza obtained a degree from Randolph-Macon College winning the Parnell Award for the highest grade point average for a Philosophy Major. After graduating, she coached swimming professionally and taught private kindergarten. She graduated from University of Richmond School of Law and received the book award in criminal law.
Liza began practicing mediation in 2002. She worked as the dispute resolution coordinator for AFLAC in both Virginia and Maryland. In 2005, she opened her law practice but continued working with mediation clients in the business and family areas. Liza’s law practice focuses on juvenile and family matters.
Additionally, from 2007-2009 she served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for Cumberland County, Virginia where she prosecuted domestic assault and juvenile matters. She is a member of the Virginia Mediation Network.
In addition to being a wife, she is a mother to her 8 year old daughter and her 3 year old son. Liza continues to represent clients in juvenile and family matters, but focuses on the positive outcomes achieved in mediation.
She states that the Mediation process allows for the inherent uniqueness of each family. Time and effort can be spent ensuring the best outcome for all involved especially the children. In essence, Mediation supports my core values of “Family is Forever and Family comes First”.
